Abdullahi attended Ungogo Primary School; G S S Zakirai; School of Management Studies; School of Social & Rural Development, Rano; School Of Hygiene, Kano; and Bayero University, Kano.

A primary health care worker from the grassroots, and worked at various local government areas such as Ungogo, Kano Municipal, Garko, Warawa, Makoda, Dala, Nassarawa, Gwale, and Kumbotso among others, where he held various positions at the primary health care department, all under Kano State Primary Health Care Management Board.

His last Local government posting before he joined the state headquarters was Kumbotso, where he served as the LGA Health Educator. From there, he join the state headquarter of the board as the State Community Engagement Focal Person, CEPF.

In June 2023 he was posted to Kano State Consumer Protection Board as deputy director of quality assurance control, until his recent appointment in December 2023 as the Director, Environmental & Public Health.

He is a member of the Society for Environmental Health of Nigeria, SEHON, Environmental Health Officers Association of Nigeria, EHOAN, National Association of Health Educators, NAHE, among others.
